Martin Soto Climent's sculptures often invoke concepts of femininity and masculinity by carefully combining clothing items such as stockings, gloves and shoes with other domestic ready-mades. Soto Climent offers a reinterpretation of Meret Oppenheim's iconic work Ma gouvernante, My Nurse, mein Kindermädchen (1936) - a pair of women's shoes tied on a platter, frills on the heels.

Soto Climent's work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions at Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA), Chicago (2014); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2013); and PS1(now MoMA PS1), New York (2010).
