Join artist Luana Vitra, philosopher Denise Ferreira da Silva, and SculptureCenter curator Jovanna Venegas for a conversation celebrating the launch of Vitra’s first English-language publication, released on the occasion of her first solo exhibition at an arts institution in the United States.
The book features an in-depth conversation between Vitra and Diane Lima (independent curator and co-curator of the 67th São Paulo Biennial, 2023), a commissioned essay by Gabi Ngcobo (Director of Kunstinstituut Melly, Rotterdam), and a text on Amulets by exhibition curator Jovanna Venegas. Designed by Studio Lhooq, the publication brings together installation and process images from Vitra’s recent projects at the São Paulo Biennial, Instituto Inhotim, and Kunstinstituut Melly, weaving together ideas around land, matter, extraction, and spirituality.
