W.J.T. Mitchell Presents

W.J.T. Mitchell is the author of What do Pictures Want? The Lives and Loves of Images(2005), a forthcoming recipient of the Lowell Prize from the Modern Language Association. Editor of Critical Inquiry and a professor at the University of Chicago in both the Departments of English Literature and Art History, Mitchell will present some of the concepts that inspired SculptureCenter's upcoming group exhibition, The Happiness of Objects (2007).
