Make History Now I: A Subjective History of Sculpture (or the story that matters to me most)
Sat, Jun 4, 2005, 4:30pm
Frank Benson, MDF (4 x 4), 2002. Laminated MDF, spray paint. 48" x 48" x 1". Courtesy of the artist and Taxter & Spengemann Gallery, NY.
This event features Make It Now artists making short presentations about the sculptural moment that matters to them most. Specific artworks, citations, or images from outside of art become a history of sculpture: nonlinear, incomplete, mis-remembered, or otherwise eclectic, but certainly relevant to artists working in sculpture today. Featuring Frank Benson, Andrea Cohen, Jessica Jackson Hutchins, Nancy Hwang, Jean Shin, Gedi Sibony, among others.
