Join us for a newly commissioned performance choreographed and performed by interdisciplinary artist Yve Laris Cohen. Informed by classical ballet and the visual art world's contemporary fascination with Judson Dance Theater, Laris Cohen's work addresses shifting subjectivities and power relationships among human bodies and objects. This intimate performance will take place inside of Laris Cohen's site-specific installation, created for SculptureCenter's 2012 In Practice program exhibition, You never look at me from the place from which I see you, curated by Kristen Chappa. The Curator's essay is available to download here.
Reservations are required, as each engagement is limited to 20 persons. Please contact John Emison at rsvp@sculpture-center.org to rsvp. These performances are free and open to the public.
