Michael Ross

Michael Ross makes small, precise wall mounted sculptures out of scraps, unidentifiable hardware and miscellaneous things. In SculptureCenter's ground floor gallery, Ross presents numerous sculptures, each no larger than a few inches. Combining objects that most rarely notice, and often discard, he draws attention to the aesthetics of the ordinary and the unnoticed through very specific compositions of form, color and material. Each piece requires an intimate attention and focus, transforming the spatial perception of the room.
