Rafael Domenech: Model to exhaust this place (SculptureCenter Pavilion) closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The exhibition remained installed and off-view through the summer. This publication-object is a document of the show and the activities held in its mesh screens and gathering spaces earlier in the year, pre-lockdown.

Containing new texts, images of the show’s modular panels and chairs in use for public programs, reproductions of ephemera, and plans for things that haven’t happened yet, the book is a physically condensed but expansive consideration of the ideas around urban space, artistic production, standardization, and adaptation that encompass Domenech’s heavy-duty practice.

The publication is available in two variation through our bookstore: A signed, limited edition of hand-stitched books packaged in a custom plywood case produced by Domenech and a larger print run in soft cover.
