    In this signed, numbered edition of 100 digital prints, Arunanondchai riffs on Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook's ongoing investigation into the dichotomy between Thai and European art history and culture. He was inspired by a piece from Rasdjarmrearnsook's Village and Elsewhere series in which she recorded Thai marketgoers' reactions to a work from Jeff Koons's infamous Made in Heaven series.     Korakrit Arunanondchai was born in Bangkok, Thailand in 1986, and lives and works in New York and Bangkok. Arunanondchai has recently presented solo exhibitions at art institutions worldwide, including Spazio Maiocchi, Milan, Italy (2019); Carlos/Ishikawa, London (2018); Kiasma, Helsinki (2017); Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, Ithaca (2016); Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing (2015); MOMA PS1, New York (2014); and C L E A R I N G, New York (2013). Recent group exhibitions include May You Live In Interesting Times, 58th International Art Exhibition, Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy (2019); Give up the Ghost, Baltic Triennial XIII, The contemporary Art Centre, Vilnius, Lithuania (2018); SUNSHOWER: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia 1980s to Now, Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan (2017); Berlin Biennale (2016); Private Settings, Art After the Internet, Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw, Poland (2015). Arunanondchai's works are collected by several prestigious institutions worldwide, including The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Museion, Bolzano, Italy; S.M.A.K., Ghent, Belgium; Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris; and K11, Hong Kong/Shanghai/Beijing, China. Arunanondchai holds an MFA from Columbia University, New York and has studied at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan as well as Rhode Island School of Design, Providence.
