Untitled (Pianos, Fruits and Vegetables) synthesizes Automat instant photography with precision craftsmanship in a dramatic sculptural composition. The work references Sir Isaac Newton's invention of the color wheel and its basis on the musical scale. Like many of Coffin's works, Untitled (Pianos, Fruits and Vegetables) plays with notions of synaesthesia and pseudoscience.
